Almost home! (God’s blessings over us!)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to check in with you real quick and get you up to date with the latest goings on with our trip here in China. God’s fingerprint is all over this thing in a big time way. Joy Fei Fei is adjusting VERY WELL to our family, plus God is giving us grace over sickness. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING for our family’s heath! If any one of us get a fever, they will lock us in our room for a week. This would not be good at all as we have several critical meetings coming up with the Governor to get Joy Fei Fei home.
We flew into Nanchang the other day and we all visited several foster homes and orphanages. It was very sad to see, but it moved all of our hearts deeply and it let us know just what we have done for our daughter. China is beautiful and it’s people are, too. They just have a different way of doing the “care” thing for the kids here.
Several funny moments… a care taker gave me one of the children and I held it with it’s bare bottom resting in my hand. They don’t do diapers here and have a thing called “split-pants”!?! Need I elaborate? Then one of the families made some food and invited me to eat some. Flies were everywhere, the strong smell of urine all over the place, and it was about 115 degrees (HOT!!!) So, if I don’t eat the food, then I offend… so I ate. Don’t know what it was, don’t want to know, and don’t need anybody guessing for me. I’d rather just put it behind me...no pun intended!
Alright, we are a few days away from coming home with beautiful Joy Fei Fei wrapped up in our arms of love, bringing her back to the USA to her forever home. Thank you all so very much for your prayers. I’ll keep you posted as we trek home. Bye for now from China.
